Mi-Co Releases Mi-Forms V7

Mi-Co has announced the official release of Mi-Forms V7.  This comprehensive release provides the following feature enhancements:

• Improved handprint recognition engines
• New Sub Forms for greater dynamic control
• New Region Control for dynamic display and locking of form areas 
• New Data Grids for capturing variable number of detail line items
• Improved Form Conversion Utility (Word, PDF, Excel, etc.)
• New support for the Intel Mobile Clinical Assistant devices (barcode reader, camera, and RFID)
• New Background Networking (synchronization)
• Improved support for binary attachments to forms
• Improved scripting editor with auto-complete and real-time compilations
• Improved Web Services .NET object model
• New Automatic Background Saving
• New Security Hashing with tamper warnings
• New Active Directory Services authentication
• New support for Load Balancing and Clustering across servers

Optiform technical staff noted significant increases in performance after upgrading to Mi-Forms V7.  One test to load, save, export (PDF), and close a 10x20 page form improved by 208% taking just 43 seconds in V7 compared to 1 minute 49 seconds in V6.  Another major enhancement is the new Background Networking feature which adds a new client application called the Mi-Forms Agent that ignores network interruptions and continues to accommodate part-time links.

All in all, the new version of Mi-Forms V7 is and excellent example of Mi-Co’s commitment to provide the functionality required by today’s most demanding mobile data collection applications.
