Dell Launches Latitude XT Tablet PC
2007-12-12

After numerous rumors throughout 2007 that Dell would finally join the ranks of other Tablet PC makers and provide a business capable model, Dell has finally delivered. The appearance of the new Dell Latitude XT Tablet PC is a refreshing sign that perhaps the Tablet PC is beginning to enter mainstream business.
The new unit with a base price tag of $2,499 isn’t the most affordable Tablet PC by comparison. However, it does offer some new compelling features not found in the most popular competitive models. Most notably, the Latitude XT uses capacitive touch input, which recognizes both fingers and an included pen for inputting data. Dell says that it expects to begin shipping the Latitude XT by mid-January of 2008.
