ABBYY FlexiCapture 12 to be released soon

We have been anxiously awaiting this exciting release and it is finally almost here!

While speaking with incoming leads and our customers, three of the biggest questions have been:

1. Is there a cloud option?
2. Is is supported on Firefox and Chrome or is it just Internet Explorer?
3. Will auto-learning and the ability to train the system to recognize documents other than invoices be available soon?

The answer to all of these questions is YES with FlexiCapture 12!

Our favorite inclusions in this release

• Multi-tenancy Support
  • Projects, batches, users, and groups can belong to one tenant and be invisible and inaccessible from the others. This is great for large corporations with multiple business units or departments.
• Service Level Agreement Support
  • Where Service Level Agreements are in place, companies are required by contract to process documents under tight deadlines. FC 12 now has SLA support.
• Training and Auto-Learning
  • If you’ve ever seen a demonstration of FlexiCapture for Invoices, you know that the feature of auto-learning and training the software to recognize your repeat documents would be an absolute lifesaver. With FC12, wish no more.
• Advanced Classification
  • Previously a functionality found in the Mailroom add-on for FlexiCapture, classification is now an inherent feature found within FlexiCapture.
• Web Stations Using HTML5
  • Web clients are great, but when you are limited to using Internet Explorer only, it loses a little luster. FC12 supports cross-browser functionality now, thanks to HTML5 (with just a few limitations, but this enhanced compatibility is huge).
• Monitoring and Reports
  • While this existed before, they have increased visibility to key data necessary for business continuity.
• Processing Digitally Born Documents
  • Have you dreamed of the day that FlexiCapture would process the body of the email AND the attachment? They added that too. But wait! That’s not all… TXT, EML, XLSX, HTML, DOCX, DOC, PPTX, PPT, HTM, AND RTF file formats are supported as well!
• Document Sets
  • For customers using FlexiCapture to process loan applications, open bank accounts, and other lengthy applications requiring specific information sets, the Document Set feature acts a case management tool which automates the recognition of ensuring that all required collateral have been received and that all applications are completed in full.
